Piupiu print dress with splits and ties
PIUPIU PRINT MEANING
Piupiu introduced just over 100 years ago represents to me the strong history of Tourism in Rotorua. Te Arawa people are an inspiration to Aotearoa I think they have pioneered so many aspects of Māori business activity, they are forward thinking innovators and this print is an acknowledgement of their contribution to te ao Māori, I hope all the Tourism businesses of Rotorua flourish again soon. ‘Kia mau ki to ahurea Māori’ Hold on to your Māori culture
This garment is super flattering we have added a sheer black top panel that goes over the Piupiu print and has slits the run up the sides, a slip underneath is definitely needed and/or looks great paired with leggings. We have also attached long chiffon ties to the sides of garment so you can alter the shape by tying it as fitted as possible or loose so it’s layered and flowing.
