Our much loved range, KĀKAHU TOITŪ is made in Aotearoa (spun, crafted, sewn). The fibre itself is Aotearoa inspired, utilizing Merino and Brushtail Possum. The Brushtail Possum , whose population has reached staggering proportions, are an introduced pest that decimates our native flora and fauna. Wearing environmentally friendly Possum knitwear gives you the opportunity to help with our fight to preserve New Zealand's fragile ecosystems.

The pattern throughout the range is called Patere, inspired by a chant Adrienne Whitewood composed as a full time te reo Māori student last year, he mihi aroha ki aku hoa akoako, tōku whaiāipo me ōku kaiako i awhina mai i ahau i tenei haerenga ōku.

Fabric: 60% Merino Wool, 30% Possum, 10% Mulberry Silk

Care: Gentle cool hand wash, dry flat. Do not iron or tumble dry.
