Paua print dress with drawstring - long
PAUA PRINT MEANING
Part of our Taonga series, the base colour printed like the skin of the Paua (abalone) Inspired by looking at resources precious to Māori people, Kaimoana (seafood) being a huge part of our ancestral diet and now unfortunately a depleting resource. The almost tukutuku like white patterning overlaid is meant to mimic the movement of the Paua and other Kaimoana through the sea, a reminder to keep looking back to our natural way of life. ‘Kia mau ki to ahurea Māori’ Hold on to your Māori culture.
We have attached a drawstring just under the bust that brings the garment in to create more flattering lines and to add ties around the body
Please note this garment is an organic print so each piece is slightly printed on different angles no one piece is printed the same.
