Mako - (Shark tooth)

This print depicts the teeth of the Māngo-Taniwha (great white shark) the teeth commonly used as adornment on the body for Māori. In this design the mako represents the sea, an integral part of our great migration to Aotearoa - and a symbol of strength and guardianship.
