AONUI (the pursuit of knowledge) / WAHARUA (two points)
The literal translation is a ‘point where people or events cross’. Inspired by a series of works in 1909 by the late carver Te Rahui of Rotorua this print has been applied using two types of pattern Waharua and Aonui a series of triangular patterns with the design referring to the pursuit of knowledge.
