Pepi print
Our latest print ‘Pēpi’ is a collaboration with my talented friend Kahira Shepherd
The piece is self-explanatory, a beautiful Māmā and pēpi embrace, our children are a taonga to be treasured, loved and protected. The māmā is representative of the nurturer (Pāpā as well). Her hair is a symbolic barrier, our babies are born with mana and we must be vigilant with who and what we allow in their space. Lastly shaped in a teardrop to represent the overwhelming cases of abuse and trafficking of children globally that needs to stop.
