Hikairo Print - Cotton Dress
Inspired by the birth of our beautiful boy Hikairo Adriel, I used the paddle or hoe as a symbol of his birth and how a pēpi brings the family together. Our ancestors carved the body of the hoe (or paddle) and considered it spiritual because it carried whakapapa, usually held by a chief these hoe also doubled as weapons when the need arose.
Ki te kotahi te kākaho ka whati, ki te kāpuia e kore e whati. Alone we can be broken. Standing together, we are invincible X Kīngi Tawhiao ~
