Kākano print shirt
This piece is inspired by the Maori whakatauki (proverb) 'E kore au e ngaro he kākano I ruia mai I Rangiātea' translated I will never be lost for I am a seed sown in Rangiātea - To me this means 'I can never be lost for I am a seed born of greatness' The Kākano pattern used in this series has a hand drawn effect depicting seeds being scattered. My intention when designing this collection was to create visual affirmations in clothing that uplift the wearer
Please note we have printed this garment on a pattern board each piece that comes out is unique it still has the same pattern running through but may have a slightly different placement to the ones worn by models.
